By enabling the Automatic Payday Transfer feature (“Service”) and linking your external account (“External Account”), you authorize Step and Evolve Bank & Trust to initiate electronic fund transfers (ACH debits) from the External Account you designate, and to deposit those funds into your Step Account, in the amount or percentage you select.
You understand and agree that this authorization permits recurring withdrawals corresponding to each detected paycheck deposit in your External Account.
Transfers will generally be initiated on or shortly after the date Step detects your paycheck deposit. The amount of each debit will be the dollar amount or percentage you select in the app. Transfers will be processed through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network, typically settling within one to three (1–3) business days.
Transfer timing may be delayed due to weekends, holidays, cutoff times, or technical processing limits. Step and Evolve are not responsible for delays or failures caused by your financial institution or network disruptions.
By providing this authorization, you represent and warrant that:
You are the lawful owner of, and have the authority to authorize transactions on, the linked External Account;
The information you provide is accurate and complete;
You will maintain sufficient funds to cover each transfer; and
You will promptly update Step if your External Account information changes.
You may revoke this authorization at any time by:
Disabling the Automatic Payday Transfer feature within the Step app; or
Contacting Step Support at hello@step.com.
Cancellation will not affect transfers that have already been initiated. Please allow up to three (3) business days for revocation to take effect.
Revocation of this authorization will terminate only your participation in the Automatic Payday Transfer feature and will not close your Step Account.
If a transfer is returned due to insufficient funds, account closure, or any other reason, Step and Evolve are not liable for resulting fees, charges, or losses. You remain responsible for any overdraft or return fees imposed by your financial institution.
You consent to receive a copy of this authorization electronically. By continuing, you agree that an electronic record of this authorization has the same legal effect as a signed paper authorization under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act).
This authorization will remain in effect until you revoke it in accordance with Section 4 or your Step Account is closed.

By selecting “Confirm,” you acknowledge that you have read and understand this ACH Authorization Consent, and you authorize Step and Evolve to initiate recurring ACH debits from your linked External Account as described above.
