Put allowance
on autopilot
Your to-do list is long enough. Automate your child’s allowance and adjust it depending on whether they stepped it up or slacked off. By regularly connecting allowance and chores, kids learn the value of money and hard work.
How to set up an allowance
Step 1
Open your app and select your child’s account.
Step 2
Tap “Add Allowance” from the Quick Actions Menu.
Step 3
Set a frequency, start date, and amount. You can edit or skip at any time.
Give them control of their paycheck
If your teen has a job, they can set up direct deposit and get paid up to 2 days early¹. It’s simple, free, and all deposits made with Step are FDIC-insured up to $250,000 by our bank partner, Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC.
Tip: You can set up direct deposit, too. This way, you can send your child money in a pinch without worrying about funding your account.
