Credit Score Rewards Terms
Eligible Step users may earn Points (as defined in the Step Terms of Service) when their qualifying credit score increases (“Credit Score Rewards”), subject to these Credit Score Program Terms. Please note that the Step Terms of Service, including the section titled “Step Rewards Program Terms and Conditions” also apply to the Credit Score Program. Any capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meaning given to them in the Step Terms of Service.
Eligibility. Not all Step users are qualified or eligible for participation in the Credit Score Program. You must be 18 years or older, have a Step Account and an existing credit score that has been reported for at least two (2) consecutive months to qualify. Your qualifying credit score is the score made available through TransUnion Vantage Score 3.0 (“Provider”) (your “Score”).
Earning Points. Once you have at least two (2) consecutive months of credit reporting, we will establish your starting Score. You may be eligible to receive Points when your Score increases from your current Score. You are not guaranteed a minimum amount of Points, or any Points, when your Score increases. Points are awarded at Step’s sole discretion (including the amount of Points you may receive) and may vary from time to time. Decreases in your Score will not cause you to lose Points already earned and a later increase in your Score will earn additional Points to the extent your Score exceeds your most recently reported Score.
Score Updates. Scores are updated when a new Score is received by Step from Provider. Points are based solely on the Score available to Step when we perform a comparison between your new Score and your previous Score. Points awarded may take up to thirty (30) days to appear in your Step Account. Comparisons will be performed at Step’s discretion. We may correct or reverse Points awarded because of an error, duplicate award, fraud, or misuse.
About Your Score. You may have multiple credit scores, and the Score used for the Credit Score Program may differ from a score used by a lender or other third party. We do not control how your Score is calculated or when it changes, and participation does not guarantee that your Score will increase or that you will qualify for credit or receive better credit terms.
Using Points. Points may be redeemed in accordance with Step Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.
Program Changes. Step may modify or terminate the Credit Score Program in our sole discretion. Any changes will apply prospectively and will not eliminate or change any Points you have already earned, except as otherwise provided in the Step Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.
