  1. Step provides information about its Services and your account through SMS messaging (the “Step SMS Notification Program”). You can also elect to receive messages about Step offers and rewards programs (the “Step SMS Promotional Program”).  

  2. You opt in to the Step SMS Notification Program when you sign up for a Step account through the Step app or Website. When you receive a text message from us, reply “YES” or “START” to opt in to the Step SMS Promotional Program. Participation in the Step SMS Promotional Program is not required in order to use Step.

  3. You can cancel the Step SMS Promotional Program at any time. Just respond "STOP" to any message you recieve from us. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed from the SMS Promotional Program. After this, you will no longer receive promotional SMS messages from us. Your ability to use the Step app and your Step account will not be affected by cancellation of the SMS Promotional Program If you want to join again, just reply “START”. If you opt out of the SMS Promotional Program, you will continue to receive informational SMS communications about your account. You acknowledge that opting out of receiving communications may impact your use of the Services.

  4. If at any time you forget what keywords are supported, just text "HELP". After you send the SMS message "HELP" to us, we will respond with instructions on how to use our service as well as how to unsubscribe.

  5. . Text messages are distributed via third party mobile network providers and, therefore, we cannot control certain factors relating to message delivery. Not all mobile devices or handsets may be supported and our messages may not be deliverable in all areas. We do not claim or guarantee availability or performance of this SMS Promotional Program, including liability for transmission delays or message failures. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  6. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies.
