The Role

The Head of Influencer Marketing will be responsible for expanding, leading and executing our influencer and creator strategy on the Growth Team. You will lead discussions with top creators like Charli D’Amelio and bring process and structure to how we work with creators of all levels of influence. We are looking for a creative leader that deeply understands the creator/influencer space and is excited at the opportunity to empower Gen-Z on their path to financial independence.


  • Own the development, budget and execution of our Creator Strategy
  • Identify, manage and scale our creator relationships
  • Lead outreach and agreement discussions 
  • Work with creators to develop compelling content that showcases the Step brand
  • Develop scalable processes and frameworks to identify and secure creator relationships
  • Deeply understand our customers in order to bring our brand to life through our creator relationships
  • Scale the Creator Relations Team
  • Work cross-functionally with Design, Performance Marketing, Social and Customer Operations 
  • Develop reporting and analytics to track and optimize efforts

About You

  • 5+ years of partnership experience and 1+ years of experience working with creators
  • Deep understanding of the creator landscape and the associated platforms (TikTok, Snap, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Exceptional communicator, being able to serve as a thought leader in the space
  • Able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track
  • Consistently align efforts with business objectives and use data to support
  • Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals
  • Naturally curious and willing to take measured risks 
  • Self-starter and able to work autonomously

The team

Step was founded by financial industry veterans CJ MacDonald and Alexey Kalinichenko to provide teens and their families with financial tools for today’s modern-day banking needs and to promote financial literacy for the future. The founding team has 50+ years in combined financial technology experience across companies like Gyft, First Data, Square and Google.
