The Role

As the Partnerships and brand lead, you are a self-motivated and highly creative individual that has the ability to identify strategic opportunities and develop relationships with clients to create win-win partnerships that deliver best-in-class value to Step Users. You can solve opportunities for Step’s partners to grow their initiatives through a relationship with Step, and will navigate and direct Step’s strategy and execution across partnership verticals including brands, retailers, gaming, employers, education, and more. You understand how to deliver value to benefits and loyalty programs and can deliver engaging event opportunities. These partnerships will accelerate Step’s growth, brand presence, and impact as well as overall customer experience.  

What you’ll do

  • Discover, assess and source strategic partnerships and opportunities in line with Step’s rewards, user benefits and event strategies to create and maintain a robust pipeline across key verticals to deliver value to Step Users
  • Manage negotiations, budget, and forecasting maximizing both near and long-term ROI
  • Develop and own reporting and analytics to track and optimize efforts and monitor the performance of different partnership programs
  • Drive enablement, go-to-market strategy, and analysis to increase engagement for all partnerships 
  • Partner with our Product Marketing and Field Marketing teams to identify partnership opportunities and work cross-functionally with throughout the company to drive program success

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years experience in loyalty program management, brand partnerships, retail partnership, business development or card benefits 
  • Proven track record of leading best in class partnership, navigating opportunities, owning relationships, campaign management, partnership and contract negotiations
  • Expert in all things GenZ culture and trends
  • Exceptional written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, able to autonomously manage complex projects and keep multidisciplinary work streams on track with a knowledge of customer loyalty and engagement strategies, tactics, tools and production
  • Ability to quickly learn, create and optimize new processes
  • Team-oriented mindset and highly cross-functional works with a wide range of individuals, but is capable of working as an individual contributor and building from the ground up
